    Curator Summary
    Encodes a pantothenate synthetase that appears to be located in the cytosol. This protein is expected to play a role in pantothenate (vitamin B5) biosynthesis. Analysis of the catalytic properties of this enzyme indicate that it might be able to synthesize adequate amounts of pantothenate even in the presence of low levels of pantoate.
